I just discovered this place tonight, well it was the first time i'd been in one and all i can say is WOW! I thought it was just awesome I can't beleive i've never been in one before i got so many goodies garlic roasted olive oil, some good peanut sauce and sasame seed dipping sauce for my chicken and what not. Plus everything in there is organic or made from whole wheat including the snacks which i thought was awesome bought some cookies made from whole wheat with oats and rasins and some soy garlic and onion chips that taste great wasn't to sure but my gamble paid off plus the stats are good on them too 30 chips is only like 100 calories with practically no surgar and 11g of soy protein..not bad. I splurged and bought a half pound of Blue mountain coffee which was 22$ and 40$ for a pound....Thats the one down side to this place is you gotta have some dough to shop there on a regular basis. Are these in every city?....just thought i'd share my lovely shopping experience.

I LOVE THAT PLACE!

i've been 5 days in a row. have you discovered the bulk aisle? today i bought 4lbs of low-fat almond raisin granola to put in my yogurt -- i also bought flax seed bread. my fridge is stocked with their bulk crunchy peanut butter and almond butter. SO good.

their prepared food section is also amazing. the hot food bar always has a great selection -- i recommend the mashed yams. their sushi is also great, and the good thing about it is that you can get your rolls with brown rice. last night i had a brown rice salmon avocado roll and it was fantastic. before that i had their cuban black bean soup, which was equally tasty. needless to say, whole foods is responsible for my dinner many nights each week.

it is expensive, but i don't even care how much it costs anymore. the trade off of knowing that everything you're putting in your cart is all natural and not loaded with sugar or made with hydrogenated oil is more than enough to justify the expense. plus, they have buffalo. that alone would keep me coming back.

whole foods, sadly, isn't in every city, but if you go to www.wholefoods.com you can see where their locations are. it's based in austin -- we have 4 (i think) here in houston. fortunately, i live 2 miles from one of them.

i can't go on, i'll write for 20 more minutes. i love whole foods!

Whole Foods is in Atlanta too. There are two locations near me. There is also one in Durham North Carolina near Duke's Campus.

I am a big fan of them. My boyfriend and I eat there all the time. I love their salad bar and olive bar. I'm also a fan of the hot food and soups there.

It is expensive, but it's worth it to me. My New Years resolution is to buy almost all of my food from Whole Foods. I'm trying to work up a budget that lets me do that without killing my wallet.

I haven't had the buffalo yet...

Howdie I also bought the almond granola not in the big bag though and i found some low fat plain yogurt with only 10g of surgar i thought that pretty good compared to the others. When you say the almond butter thats the almond flavored natty pb right?...Cause i saw some almond oil in the isle with the oliv oil and i've heard it tastes pretty good don't know how it is in comparison to olive oil nor do i know what to use it with.

yup, the almond butter is just the natural peanut butter made with almonds instead of peanuts. they also have cashew butter. tasty. what brand is the yogurt with 10g of sugar? i went the other day and didn't see any that low -- of course i was also looking at the nonfat yogurt, not the low fat.

t-babe, i was thinking twice about mentioning the buffalo -- i know beelzebubba has sensitive ears. i wonder if anyone on the boards has a pet ostrich...those are quite tasty too
