high calorie day

Well I am already having a bad food day. I know I have gone over my needed calories by quite a few(dang xmas cookies), for today. I am very disapointed in myself, so I did my workout early today and then did some cardio a couple of hours later. I read somewhere that having a high calorie day once in a while actually helps to jump start the matabalism, what do you all think? Sorry to complain to you all about my problems but I had to get it off my chest.

I don't know if the high calorie day will "jump start" your metabolism, but you don't have to worry about gaining any weight. As long as this is the only day that your going to do it in a while. You won't even gain a pound. Don't worry, we all have to get things off our chests sometimes.

Thanks I am just disapointed in myself I am normally very good about not eating alot of junk food but for some reason this year my moms cookies were very good and I could not help myself! Xmas day isn't going much better.

as DX said, there´s no problem at all if it is only one day.
try to think about this: can you lose a lot of fat in only one day of diet? no. the same with gaining: you dont get fat from evening to morning. you need time.

dont worry, it is only one day. it is your free day. now get back to your diet. you will do fine

Thanks for the good word I guess it makes sence that it takes time to lose weight so it would take time to gain it also. Thanks
