I usually do about 15-20 minutes of cardio directly after my workouts. My question is, would it be more beneficial if drink that shake before I do the cardio, or after?

It is...I would at least sip on it through the cardio. You need to shut down cortisol. Best case scenario, do your cardio 6-8 hrs. post weight training or even better, on an opposite day.

I consider the cardio, part of the workout, as it is usually a cooldown and not high intensity. we do have to try to stay within 30-40 min max.
