Hi my name is Matt. I am a very active person already but not much of a gym person. I am making the decision to start hitting the gym with a workout routine. That is why I joined up here. I choose to use a program to loose weight and gain lean muscle. The workout routine uses lots of reps. Am I correct in assuming that I should use lesser weight. If so is that like a percentage of my max lift or something that I should follow? Any help figuring it out would be appreciated. THANKS!!

If you have higher reps, use a lighter weight... some of the more advanced choices here use less reps and higher weights...

During your routine, as the reps lower in each group of exercises, use a higher weight...
