Hi everybody! I was just wondering if there was such a thing as stretching too much? I want to get as flexable as I can as soon as I can, but I dont want to end up hurting my self in the process.

Is there anyone who can help this little newbie out?

If you mean stretching too much as in spending a lot of time stretching in one sitting, no probably not as long as you don't "bounce" your stretches and you feel a uncomfortable tightening NOT pain, you can injure yourself if you take the stretch too far so don't be overanxious. I usually stretch and hold a position for no less than 8 seconds and no more than 15 before releasing, then I repeat the same if I feel I need to.

If you are stretching to improve your range of motion too much may be a problem. Make sure you are warmed up as it is more beneficial to your joints.

If you can dream it, if you can imagine it, then you can be it, you can do it. If it is meaningful enough, and you commit the energy of your passion, you will.
