having just looked at my nutritional plan it says that i should have 4925 calorie intake a day. Now i do want to get bigger, but im worried that is maybe to excessive. especially considering my exercise plan is having me do only to exercises on some days. I am also doing the 12 week ab workout.

im i right in thinking that once ive gained the extra weight (muscle i hope) that afterwood i should reduce the calories and do more cardio to burn off the excess fat.

Im new to all this so im just learning how it works. can anyone help me or offer advice. has anyone else done the same plan?? what were your results??

Im going to follow the plan as im confident it will work, but i was just wanting to hear what happend with other guys who have tried it.

my stats are male, 6ft currently 197lbs(not muscle) waist size 36. Im 29 years old.

4925 may be a bit excessive. I would say you are basically right in your thinking about gaining and losing fat. Do some searches on fitbuddy on the subject - there are tons of posts dealing with the subject.
Good Luck

thanks for responding to my question fsdsk.

part of my worries lay in the fact that the amount of exercise i do a day seems very limited.

ie monday i do leg extensions 4 sets, and machine leg curls, 4 sets. but that is all. not alot of exercise to burn of all those calories, im worried to do to much cardio as i have read that it is counter productive to gaining mass.

Fill out your profile so we know a little more about you.

Your caloric intake will mostly hinge on how many calories you have previously been ingesting on average. Then you can calculate up or down for your goals.

well today i am eating my regular diet, and filling in the chart as i go to see what my usual intakes are. i eat a fairly healthy diet already, alot of low r non fat products, lean meats and alot a veggies. my only real vice is alcohol, which i have now stopped.

i tried to fill in my profile but i can't seem to figure out how it works, lol.
