daily protein consumption for an 165lber

I weigh 165 lbs. Im trying to gain size, along with strength, leaness, and muscle tone and definition. Lately ive been gettting around 165 grams to 180 grams, but a guy at the gym, and this guy does look like he knows what hes doing, he has trained with jay cutler before, he tells me i should get around 250 grams a day, if i want to gain good size. Would this be true, or would 250 grams be alot?

I think that 160 grams to 180 grams what you have been consuming would work just as much as the 250 grams a day. I think that the extra protein is just a good way to get calories and not mess around with your blood sugar levels. I think you can get the same results with 165 grams of protein and an extra 85 grams of carbs as you can with 250 grams of protein.
