Fruits are high in sugar, so if eaten a lot they can affect weight loss. Try replacing some of the fruit with some vegetables, which have very little or no sugar and have healthy carbs such as fiber. When you do have fruit eat apples, oranges, berries (probably the best fruit, because they are the highest in antioxidants), grapes. Try to stay away from bananas and watermelon.

good sugar... oxymoron. Fruits contain many awesome nuitrients and some fiber, but the sugar can be too high for a cutting diet.
Keep your fruit to the morning meals and switch to vegetables by lunchtime.
Grapefruit and apples and blueberries/strawberries are good choices.
This has been discussed at length previously - do a fit buddy search on fruit.

Yep, unfortunately, fructose is fructose. When you body goes to process it, it cannot ascertain that it came from fruit or soda! So it is treated the same way. The saving grace of fruit is some vitamins/antioxidants, and fiber, which can be obtained elsewhere. Fruit, while normally a good food, at times of extreme diet will help your diet fail for the reasons mentioned.
Asimmer gives you good options.
