is it bad for you to cosume a proein hsake at night really late like 1 am?

no it is supposed to be a good idea to consume a protein shake before you go to sleep, because it helps to slow down catabolism(breakdown of muscles). i take a serving of casein protein around that time also.

Your pre bed "meal" should ideally consist of casein proteins or a blend with some fats and fiber. This will slow digestion. If you are on a gaining regimine, then a shake if you wake up during the night is a good idea. I keep one made in the fridge, and if I wake up(I don't purposely wake up for it though), I chug it down and go back to sleep.

cottage cheese is the best pre-bed meal ever, for me.
just add some PB and it my favourite meal of the day
