Sorry to bump this one guys. I have a question I bought some of the muscle milk today for a change. I noticed when I poped the lid it was unusually clumpy for protein. So is this the way it normally is or should I return it?-------------- I am that which must be feared, worshipped and adored. The world is mine now and forever. No one holds command over me. No man. I switched to Muscle Milk after a year of training on Next Protiens. I noticed a difference after the first 3 or 4 weeks. I am putting on muscle and getting lean. I have a high bodyfat % that I am working on and it helps me build lean muscle and drop body fat. The bonus is Yes it tates great!-------------- "Do the right Things" and "Do Things Right". I have one scoop for breakfast, one for lunch and one after my workout which is in the evening. I would suggest if you are only going to take one serving a day to do it right after your workout. It is great before bedtime as well.-------------- "Do the right Things" and "Do Things Right". You will succeed. |

Has anyone tried MM and Oats? I HATE oatmeal but I know it is good for ya'. If MM tastes as good as it does they have to make Oats taste good.

If you need it, if you are in an energy deficit for instance, or just trying to gain weight, it is fine.
If it makes you exceed your calorie needs, and you are trying to maintain or lose, then it is not fine. -------------- Strength and Honor! |

also due to the very high caloric value i would rarely consume more than one of these shakes a day, what is the optimum time to do so, wake up, pre work out, post work out, before bed etc. and why

Hi guys, I'm new here and so far I really like what I see. I'm a huge fan of Muscle Milk and I've been taking it for a while now. I've tried a lot of flavors, and the best one for me is the Egg Nog. They actually have an egg nog flavor and it tastes JUST like real egg nog. If you like the stuff, then don't hesitate to buy it. If not, then I strongly recommend the Peanut Butter Chocolate.

A whey protein drink alone won't make you fatter. Muscle milk may add some. Do you ever do any leg work?-------------- She sits and wonders why.....no more. |

so muscle milk isnt good? i had one today and it tasted so rich and fattening. i do 5 sets of 20 reps of leg presses of as much weight as i can handle daily as well as alot of crunches...if i keep doing what im doing will i get the lean cut body that i want? i already have alot of muscle mass figuring that i dont look fat but still weigh 188 and im only 5'7. any recommendations would be great!

Not saying that at all. Muscle milk on a gain is fine. You are going to put on some fat while doing a gain. It's unavoidable. Once you get where you want weight wise you switch your diet to a cut and get leaned out to show the new muscle. If your looking to lose more eight then I would avoid the muscle milk. -------------- She sits and wonders why.....no more. |

Hard to say. It's really up to you. What's your current BF%? From your height and weight and already trying to lose, I would just stay the course until you reach your desired bf%.-------------- She sits and wonders why.....no more. |

Hey everybody i have recently become involved in supplements. I have to gain some weight for next football season. I am a freshman and the coaches hope for me to make varsity next year. So would this be an appropriate supplement. I am now 195 and want to get up to 215-220 buy next August. I work out 4-5 times a week both power lifting and cardio.

Hey man, im going to be a senior this year. I think that 20 lb is a little high, but if you work hard at it, i dont not see you hitting 205. Anything is possible. IM using muscle milk right know and drinking whey after every workout. eat your protein (1g-1.5g for every pound you weigh). What positon/positions are you going to play?

I think he means in is getting stronger in the weight room but your not getting physically bigger. The muscle milk is working pretty good for me. If you combo it right with the whey, you can a real good amount of protein. I get around 60g of protein out of them a day. I'd definetly recommend it, and its quite tasty. (STAY AWAY FROM COOKIES AND CREAME, if you like banana's, get bannana)

Too many calories in most cases. Think about it, you are adding calories, so you would have to take away calories at some other point to manage this. This is what folks have a tendancy to do without realizing it, an example is they hear Olive oil is good so they 'add' olive oil to their diet. While yes, it is good, if you do not subtract something, you are actually adding calories and you will obviously lose no weight.

I agree! this stuff is great! Only a few flavors I like though. the cookies and cream, and the natural vanilla. Tried the chocolate peanut butter in between, and at once, and it didn't agree with my stomach. Switched back to the vanilla and the cookies and i'm fine. Also tried the blueberries and creme. Great! The results? Unreal! If you are trying to bulk up, lose fat, take 3 of these a day, stay true to your diet, lift hard, cardio a few days a week, you'll see quick results. Good stuff!!
