that's my hardest 2... some of the other exercises can get pretty hard 2 once you start adding more and more weight like bench presses and laterals -------------- keep rockin' |

I like wide grip pulldowns and bent over barbell rows for the upper part of my back.. their not too hard to do unless you put too much weight on to begin with... |

I agree with Rev on the squats, but my dreaded favorite is deadlifts. Don't get me wrong done right squats is king. But I love/hate deadlifts, for me they rule!-------------- Life comes by only once....Live it to the fullest! |

I also agree with Rev about squats. They are hell, but great. It's seems like body type has a lot to do with favorite/least favorite exercises. Big heafty guys like Rev and Mutt seem to like big, heavy weight exercises. This may just be my imagination though. As far as chin-ups, I absolutely agree with y'all about their difficulty. I think a lot of us have trouble with these. BigDavid, if you have access to a lat pull-down machine, this can be great for building your way up to lifting your own body weight. Afterall, how many of us can pull down 200lbs the first time we sit down at the machine. |

I forgot, previously I've been advised by the smart folks on this site to not be discouraged by partial chin-ups and even to try hanging for as long as I can to build strength. Even partial reps(chin-ups) are great strength builders. |

Oh wait I thought he meant hardest exercise for his upper back... oh ok... for me my hardest exercise is probably lunges.. these seem to work well but are hell for me to do.... they feel funny and completely suck... squats are kinda rough too but if I ever find a lifting belt that fits my waist i think they probably won't be so bad.. I guess I just don't like working my legs in general =/ everything else doesn't seem so bad once you start and get going doing them.. as far as wide grip pullups.. i can't ever do the amount in a set that ft recommends.. but I still don't think they suck... |

Its easier to do close chin ups..no problem for me ..But wide chin ups is kinda hard .. i seen theRock doing it with a towel .. holding a towel instead of the bar ..wraping a towel around the bar. pulling himself holding the towel. |

I would agree with the poster about favorites, and least favorites having a relationship with body type.chin-ups...lol... no prob Put a bunch of weight on that Bench..F*ck... Dead lifts... I won't even visit that place. As for my personnal least favorite, it's gotta be the Ab stuff... Not so much cause they are hard, it's just boring to me (too much time..too many reps..till they hurt). I still haven't become accustomed to the burn that comes with them.... And finally (the real reason...vanity) I don't make much noise when lifting etc....Abs make me make stange noises...lol -------------- "When going through hell......DON'T STOP" |

I don't have much problem with chins, I finish every back workout with chins to failure. I would rate dead lifts as my hardest, followed closely by squats. I put much more emphasis into squats because I have to, really gotten quite strong in them, but still hate them...Can't do a deadlift for nothing though. My biggesst problem with them is I tend to be an all or nothing type person, and I try to pile on too much weight, and next thing I know I am hurting my back doing them incorrectly. |

Samuel - After the login page, go to "fitness plan", and then "your exercise program". At the bottom of that page, before you click on an individual week, there is a link to the 12 week abdominal program. It has its own schedule that you have to coordinate with your regular fitnes plan routine. Let me know if this helps and you can find it.
As for my "hardest but favorite" - it has to be clean and jerk. It hits EVERYTHING, and is exhausting. But when done right, is very good for you. |
