It always seemed to me that to train a muscle once a week is not enough so a try to do it at least like every 5 days, but in the program that ft is suggesting me the time between the same workouts in one week, is this eonugh??? thank you...

Well with out knowing how long you have been lifting it is hard to tell. If you are just starting out, you could getsome benefits out of training twice a week per body part. But you have to be very careful not to overdo it. Overtraining, can hurt you very much.

That depends on your goals.

It seems the answer to this depends on many factors. Are you eating the required 1-2 grams of protein per lb of bodyweight? - are you doing a lot of cardio or just a little? - how intense are your workouts? From everything I've read, the general concensus seems to be between 5 and 7 days for a muscle to "recover" from a workout. Anything more and you're just over training the muscle. From a logical standpoint, it would seem that too much rest time is better than not enough, for the simple fact that if it's impossible to ever figure out your own personal ideal rest time anyway, why not do less working out than more.

If your goal is big nasty muscles then YES once a week is definitely enough.
You'll do three things: Train like a madman (take heavy!!), eat like bull (looooots of proteins) and sleep like a baby (when you rest your muscles grow!)......

We "normal people" have a job next to the training so working the muscle once a week will be enough (because we need the muscle to recover) Don't compare yourself to the huge professionnel guys who work each muscle group several times a week, they DON'T do anything else the whole day than those three things I explained you so they have enough time to recover. We cannot efford that (yet!!).
