No, it is not. Smoothies notoriously contain milk products, you do not want that post workout. You want fast acting protein, with simple sugars.

What if the the smoothie, had protein powder and glutamine powder added to it?

As bb1 fit said you do not want any milk products in a post workout shake. The milk will slow down the absorption of the protein. The best time to build muscle is directly after a workout and you have a very small window of time (30 minutes or so) after a workout to get the best results from the protein supplement. So you need a fast absorbing protein (whey) and simple sugars to get the protein there quicker. I usually mix my protein with a gatorade or blend it with water and a banana.

smoothies....even with protein in it......can contain up to 600-700calories easly. And for 20- 30g of protein thats simply not worth it. Even in a bulk state this is clearly "empty" calories.
