:o( I can't do squats or lunges very well!! I don't know why! They are very uncomfortable to do and I have had a roommate that was a personal trainer and she helped me witht he propper form, etc and they still were uncomfortable! Any suggestions on what can make them easier or not hurt as much? No injuries that I am aware of either. Just had a full physical.
In college I had an awesome butt, I took a weight training class, now I live in the middle of no-where and the nearest gym is an hour away, so I can honestly say I "don't have time to go to the gym" because it would take me an hour to drive there, and hour or two to work out and an hour to drive back. With 2 kids and a husband and lots of house work, just wouldn't work. My favorite back side exercise that worked for me though was the standing hamstring curl. Loved it! |

What exactly do you mean by uncomfortable?

Menace I find your posts informative. Can you help a newbie with what your abreviations mean? What is 1rm? What does 12 with an asterisk mean?
I have been trying to select the 'Special Glutes & Thigh' program but for some reason that is the only program the site won't allow me to select. ARGH! Any moderators reading this thread that could correct that? Thank you for any replies/help. ============ Quoting from menace3000: To get a nice butt....you need to focus on big exercises that target the hip/butt area Squats....full....as low as possible... ATG(ass to the ground...appropriate name...) are perfect...they hit glutes the hardest.... Deadlifts...and the variations....Romanian, stiff legged, dimel, etc... If your gym got a reverse glute/ham machine ....then it's amazing as well at targeting this area....its not just for powerlifters anymore.... 75% of 1rm is approx your 10 rep max, just by adding these 2 exercises, you can get great results... For example: Monday: ATG Squats(12*, 8 sets of 3 reps at 70-80% of 1rm, 2 min rest in between sets) Thursday: Deadlifts(12*,8 sets of 3 reps at 70-75% of 1rm, 2 min rest in between sets) do these exercises first in your workouts...before anything else.... ============= |

1 rep Max - which is hard to figure out on your own. Do a weight that is hard enough that finishing the set number of reps is difficult but not impossible.-------------- Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak. ============ Quoting from howdiekat: i see the "how do i get a better butt" question posted so much that i wanted to dedicate a post to praising the ft special glutes and thights program. i am through week 5 of the 8-week program and i am already seeing impressive results. this is something that truly works if you stick with it, so for those of you wanting to improve your rear view, you should add this to your ft routine and give it a try. it works very well. ============= Where can you get more info on this program? |

============ Quoting from howdiekat: hi annie, when you sign up for an exercise program on the site, you can add part-specific programs to your routine. when you select the "special glutes and thighs" option it will automatically include it in your 8-week training program. let us know if you need any help :) p.s. for those of you who had suggested posting pictures, i'm uploading one right now. ============= |

To add the special glutes and thighs program you need to be on intermediate or advanced level, it wont let you add it if your on a beginner level. I changed my level to intermediate so I could add this program because I;m sick of my thunder thighs!

Can someone tell me how to add the ab and butt programs? I had them before the site changed and unfortantly I cannot find how to add them to the current workout program. I saw great results with the ab addiion and am looking forward to tryng the butt program. I would be extremely grateful if anyone knows how to do this.
