Hey guys! I just wanted to say hi, I just started here and had some questions.

Here's my info firstly:
======================
Firstly, Im 16, and combined with my social and academic life, don't really want to spend money at the gym.

However I have availible to me a simple cable system, an adjustabled bench, a separate incline bench, a barbell, two dumbells, and up to 110lbps of weights to go on them, plus an exercise ball. So I basically have my own little gym.

Anyway, I'm not fat or anything, Im 5'8 1/2 at 149lbs. I have signed up for the fat loss and definition training, and the 12 week ab blast program.

Now for the questions:
======================
I have decided to cut out the crap from my diet, no chocolate or pop or anything like that, only on occasion for a treat. I plan to eat a healthy breakfast lunch and dinner every day with healthy fruit snacks in between. Will this be fine?

Second, when doing things like crunches and such, I'm not really feeling it the next day, and was wondering if theres a special way to contract your abs. When I try what I think is contracting it feels like im gonna crap myself lol...

My last question regards cardio. I do many walks every day, 45 minutes to school and back of walking, and I was curious if this would be good with 200 laps of weight handled skipping or something.

Sorry for the long post, thanks.

Hello.. and welcome to FT...

First, fill out your profile so we can learn more about you...

In regards to the diet, use the nutrition tracker FT has... keep a close watch on what you're putting into you and adjust according to your goals. There is also plenty of discussion about fruit, when to eat it, what's good and so on. So, do a search on Fit Buddy (at the bottom of the page) and that should give you some indication of fruit, etc.

About the crunches, just because you don't feel it the next day, doesn't mean you didn't work them! When you crunch up, contract and hold for a couple of seconds, then lower yourself. Not sure if one can contract 'too much.'

Also, there is a ton of info about cardio here too, use Fit Buddy!
