picked up some sweet potato chips the other day and they're delicious, wondering how bad they are for me...and if not could i use them to make up my daily calories. the ingredients are cumin, cilantro, cayenne pepper, canola oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, salt, garlic and very little cane surgar about 2g. a serving. Would i be better making my own..or do these ingredients sound good?

i'm curious to know the answer to this as well. i picked some up while doing laundry one day and thought they were fantastic. i haven't bought any since though — i kinda considered them a cheat.

Put your mind at ease folks, these are excellent. They probably are the Tarot brand I believe(black bag?).
The only thing is fitting the amount you eat into your diet needs.

It is also very easy to make your own - just cut the potatoes thin, place them on a cookie sheet, spray with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic salt and bake @ 375 until golden brown. Absolutely fabulous and not fried!!!!

You beat me to it tfred. I make those things myself. I cut them a little thick like cottage fries, kind of crispy outside and tender inside. They taste delish.
