I'm 15 and 5' 10" and yesterday I was telling my friend about my new diet with more protein and he said that I could stun my growth eating protein. Is this true at all if it is to what extent? How much protein should I eat a day?

I have never heard that one before.
But you do need a wide variety of foods to obtain the nutrients needed for growth.
If you go by US guidelines I believe they say 15% of your calories come from protein, not a lot.
Start with a protein intake of .8g/lb of bodyweight and see how you feel. But don't neglect your fruits, veggies and whole grains and drink plenty of water.

Well if that were true, you better stop eating chicken, and eggs!
Eat good wholesome foods and follow Asimmer's advice.
Now go eat your protein!

:surprised:You can work out hard as you can and you won't gain muscle mass without protein. Essential for everyone. The building blocks, amino acids, that allows muscle fibre to rip, rebuild and recover. Taking protein supplements on a daily basis is an excellent idea, especially if you don't eat 3-4 healthy, balanced meals regularly.
