NASM is a very respected certification..it's also more challenging than others but you'll have a clear grasp of everything...you can also go with easier certifications like a 1 day, 8 hour one from AAAI....they cost anywhere from 100-600...
some clubs willt each you and require you to take their speicif ccertification..ie 24hrs....and teach you...
others require that you hold a nationally recognizable certification and have a current CPR certificate....you have to get recertified every 2-3 years as well as keep taking training classes every couple of years to stay current
once you get hired...you'll be paid a wage and/ or per client wage...most of the money you get from training your clients will go to the club...ie if you get $50 for 30 minutes...30-35 will go to the club for giving you the opportunity to use their facilities and their clients...once you become very familiar with everything....you can move to better clubs where you get payed more like Club One or Crunch....or establish your own fitness facility ....
