I want to work out early in the morning. My current workout partner can only workout at noon. is it really selfish and cold to kick her to the curb so i can workout by myself in the morning?

If the situation were reversed would you simply bow out? I would think that It makes more sense for you to work out when you want. I tried working out in the morning. Didn't like it and saw no results. But now I work out after work and I enjoy it much more and am making good gains. If you parter Is as dedicated as you seem to be, I think they will undersatnd all of that.

Short version: No, its cool.:)

If you were my workout partner and you ditched me I would hate you and spike your protein shake with sugar.

I just hate working out in the middle of the day, I feel like I spend the morning hanging around waiting to workout and then after I workout it is time to get my daughter from school. I also hate showering twice a day and I hate spending the morning in my grubbies..... maybe I should just quit working out, this is all so difficult ;)

Is there a way that the two of you can compromise? Maybe a couple days of the week you do her schedule and then a few days yours?

Either way, this is about you reaching your goals and if going it alone in the mornings is what it takes, then you should stick to that plan. If your partner is like minded, she should understand completely.

She likes to sleep in... and works around 11 AM...

We have been working out at my house, but I really want to get into the gym and play with more equipment, she belongs to a different gym.

Crap, this is harder than breaking up with a guy...

Well, in that case you should make her a candlelit dinner and gently let her down.

Tell her that you need bigger dumbells in your life.

you could exercise in the morning, not tell her, and then at noon use one of the 101 excuses not to exercise.

Workout when you want, and invite your partner to join you.
If they can't, well, at least you tried.
You may also get more out of being alone.
On the other hand, I am looking for a morning training partner!

Well, I am sure I can make it to Canada a few days out of the week, if you can make it to MN the other days!
