I am curious to knwo what your position is at the gym?

Stay away from those supplements until you have started to see some gains, and the only thing I would keep is the creatine and multis.
The HC should go in the trash!

I am a 21 year old male. I recently got a job at a nice gym, for no particular reason (in college just need some money). I haven't worked out for a while, I played basketball in high school and have stayed slightly active. I'm 6'1 190lbs. I am looking to gain muscle and bulk up a bit. My roommate moved out and left me a whole cabinet full of creatine w/no, creatine monohydrate, hydroxycut and multi-vitamins. I need some advice on a beginner plan, with minimal cardio, i live in ny and do plenty of walking, that will bring me good results. I get a free gym membership but I haven't been in one for a while so it seems foreign, and I am so new that I feel out of place asking them for advice.

in response to "carivan"... "I am curious to knwo what your position is at the gym?"

My position is just a front desk position, checking people in and paper work. I don't mind doing 10 or 20 minutes of cardio after a workout, its those 30 and 45 minute sessions i dread. And is their another machine, other than a treadmill, that you could reccomend for my cardio. I don't mind those machines that you sit on and pedal, similar to a bike but its not a bike(I truely am a beginner so excuse my lack of knowledge.)

You don't have to excuse yourself for your lack of knowledge, we all start out as rookies.
Your fortunate to be working in a healthy atmosphere.
The bike is good for endurance, but an ellipticle or stair machine will do you better cardio and vascular. After your workout (when they get intense) you may want to do 15 min light just to cool down.

Good luck and keep us posted ok?

thanks for that advice. I already have a little size. In April a friend gave me some winstrol pills and i took them for about two weeks and lifted hard for about three weeks. I gained size but then moved and haven't worked out since(just off and on). I didn't know that they were steroids when I took them and I'm not into all that. But B/4 i took them I was 165 and now I am pushing 200. You're right about the HC, i had a heart murmer so i don't think i'll be taking that. I guess my question is how many days or working out a week is adequate?

If your goals are to gain muscle, train 5 days a week since you are already at the gym. Wait a week before retraining the same part.
You might want to try a program from here on ft.

Also I need to add more protein to my diet and am on a very limited budget until I finish this school year. Like i said, i have noz creatine and regular monohydrate, but i don't think the time is right to start taking those yet. is there any way to make a homemade protein shake that is simple to make and easily affordable, don't relly care about the taste.
