Take a couple of pictures of yourself and submit them to FT. That in itself has motivated me to bust my @$$ and get bigger. Just looking at my pics I see soooo many 'weak' areas that I need to work on, especially my abs. Of course, I don't do anything for my abs right now, but I think I'll start. I'm not flexing at all in the pics, but I'm still not happy.

Sorry, folks. Just venting..........

You are so right. Pics don't lie. Use them to analyze yourself. You can see what areas are weaker. I do this all the time, and find myself really starting to work those areas. Good post! This is an excellent way to make gains. Use yourself for motivation.

excellent point, j, and very tru. but, in addition, since i was never really concerned with the way i looked, i found one of the best things to motivate myself was my training journal. i sincerely believe that if people were more serious about keeping a strict journal on workouts, diet, etc., they would be able to make more gains, and faster. that is why this site is so freakin' good! it is detailed and easy to use. and, i also believe thats one of the reasons have so much success here.
so, c'mon, people, use this site to its full adavantage and bust some butt!

During comp prep I write down every single thing.....
All food is weighted and I know excactly how many grams of proteins etc that I'm eating.

It keeps me on the track.
