Here's a tip from Lee Labrada about self motivation. I believe in this to a certain extent, but maybe it will help some of you. ----
A few weeks ago, I recommended James Allen's book, "As a Man Thinketh". The point of the book is that EVERYTHING in your life starts as a THOUGHT.
Simply put, negative thinking draws negative things to you, and begets negative results. On the other hand, positive thinking draws positive things to you, and begets positive results.
It's really quite simple. Every action starts as a thought. Thoughts can be "trained" just like your body can be trained. Of course, the more negative your thought patterns are to begin with, the harder it is to get your mind "into shape." But it all starts by replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, whenever negative thoughts invade your mind.
At first it will feel "corny," and require effort, but with time this practice will become second nature, effortless, and you will start seeing the positive dividends manifesting in your life. Begin thinking positively about yourself today. Begin thinking positively about your training and diet today. Move yourself. It will leave you feeling empowered.
