I am going to start doing a 3 day split (one that philia posted about a month or so ago, from this other website) my question is about the Monday, Wednesday, Friday thing. Is it best to do my workouts then like the program says or can I get away with doing them whenever I want provided that I get them all done at the end of the week.

Normally, I like to take my off days during the week when life gets too crazy for me. Then I got to thinking about it and decided that maybe I'd like to take an off day whenever I want to. I think it would make me feel less guilty about having off days and more likely to train harder. For example, I did my monday workout and tuesday I did cardio, but today I don't feel like working out. So can I just move the workout down a day so that I life Thursday and Saturday (instead of wednesday and friday) or could I take two days off today and tomorrow and then on friday and saturday do my weight training?

I'm thinking that it doesn't matter since my body doesn't know what day of the week it is.

You can adjust any program to your availability.
You are right, our bodies don't know the days of the week yet. I think!

Thanks Ivan! Hopefully this will help me stay on track and stop my habit of doing well a few weeks or months then stopping a week or two because I get really busy and then restarting the same program...
