Is getting to much protein hurting me? I am 24yrs old and only 5 foot 1, 98lbs. I am doing at home training, 12week ab program, and cardio a few times a week 2 get that after pregnancy fat off my stomache/love handles so that i can return to my pre preg jeans. My caculated daily requirements are Calories- 1523,Protein - 98 g,Carbs - 245 g,Fats - 19 g. Its really hard for me to figure out what to eat and when so that those numbers are where they need to be, but after about a week of researching message board topics i think i almost got it except no matter what i do my proein numbers are always so high. I'm usually 40-60g over when it comes to my protein intake. I usually drink 1-2 whey protein shakes a day mixed with bananna's and strawberries. Should i stop drinking the shakes? I thought i needed them post workout. help me please, i'm new to this and very confused. Thank you

You will probably be fine with a higher protein intake. The recommended daily amounts are generally in reference to sedentary people. When you are active, your protein needs go up.
Be sure to get enough fiber in your diet and drink plenty of water.
This all changes if you have any medical issues, of course.

Im sure that a little extra protein won't hurt you as long as you continue to work hard. Just as long as you get enough water, you really don't have to worry about getting to much protein.
