I have shoulder problems and can't do wide grip chin ups. I have done the front and rear pull downs to no avail. One arm rows works but not growing much. What else can I do to widen the lats?

Try bent rows, and deadlifts they will help.

To become wide, you have to go wide! Bent over rows with a wide grip on the bar work great. Be careful with your technique, though. If you 'hunch' over too much you could hurt yourself. Try keeping your back straight by keeping your head up.

I've got the same problem. My lats just don't flare out like I'd like them too. A lot of it has to do with me not having wide shoulders like these other fellows. Build (skeleton wise) has a lot to do with it. I have found that super wide grip chins are helping me out.

Try front pull downs with an extra wide grip. Bent rows and deadlifts will probably help the lower part of your lats to flare out too.

Stretching between sets and flaring out your lats will help a tremendous amount too. Don't worry about what other people think when you're constantly doing a lat spread between sets. Posing between sets is a very powerfull tool.
