Hi guys. Things have been getting better and better for my husband and I, and we are working on filling up our cupboards with good foods in increments. Here is what I am having for today, and I am hoping that it's better than before.

5:00 1.5 oz lean ground beef mixed with scrambled eggs(1whole,2whites), coffee & creamer, 1 packet plain oatmeal

9:30 Nutrigrain bar and string cheese

12:00 Peanut butter and jam sandwich on 2 pieces whole wheat bread, handfull of white cheddar corn puffs(leftover from in-laws)

3:00 Tillamook strawberry yogurt

5:30 New york strip steak, horseradish mashed potatoes, broccoli, mushrooms in a demi glaze, salad, and champagne(it's valentines day afterall)

Does this look like it is headed in the right direction. I hope so. And as I said before, each grocery trip is bringing in more and better things, so eventually my husband and I both will be eating like we should.

Cristal one thing I do when shopping is avoid the "bad" aisles altogether. Mainly I shop around the edge of the store as that is where the dairy, veggies, bread and meat are usally found. I then go down the canned foods aisle, but I only get veggies if I get anything. The canned fruits are usually too high in sugars.

I odn't think this is bad especially if you are transitioning into a better diet.

For a while there we didn't have much of anything to eat, and almost all of it was junk food and boxed food. The biggest change so far has been the addition of string cheese to our lunches, and not using all whole eggs for breakfast. Luckily my husband didn't notice a difference. :) Also added in the oatmeal in the morning. Will be eating like this for another 2 weeks, and then another trip to the grocery store should show another improvement.
