Hello, I'm new here. I am a new mom (well, sort of new...my son is 5 months old). I gained almost 90 pounds with my pregnancy and that is ALOT for someone who is 5'2 and who was a size 4. I feel like a different person. After the birth I immediately started dieting and exercising. I am up to 5 hours of cardio a week and I have just added 3 days of strength training and 3 days of abs to add up to a total of about 7.5 hours a week. What I'm wondering is how should I divide up my strength exercises (ie. arms twice a week? arms once a week? shoulders once? twice?) and how often can abs be worked or how often should they be worked to be effective. And, is there anything else I can be doing to make this weight come off faster...i've given up refined sugar, white bread, pasta, etc. I am eating 1100-1200 calories a day. I have to lose this weight!!! Help!
Any suggestions would be great.:)

My first thought is that with all that cardio and strength training, 1200 calories a day might be too low. I would think for your height (depending on much you weigh) you might want to go a bit higher, say 1500? Good job on taking out the processed carbs as that's sure to help. Make sure you are getting enough protien as well. Anyone else, please feel free to add in here! :)Good Luck!

Hello everyone. My daughter is 8 months old and I gained 52 pounds with my pregnancy and I am 4'10". I was just curious if this site really works especially since this is my first day and I am finally able to work out now that my daughter is more independant. Jenni

HI there-

I joined not too long ago, and this site is already helping me. I find it particularly useful to log in my food every day. :)
