Drink more water and your body should release the excess that it is holding. If that doesn't work try a water pill (diuretic) but be sure it is potassium-sparing.
Some natural diuretic teas are available at the grocery store, and evebn adding lemon juice to your water can help fflush out excess water.

No,no messenger, but you can learn plenty here by reading old posts.
The answer to your questions is consistent exercise, heavy weight lifting, and a dedication to eating healthy.
Read through some of the posts asked in the past about nutrition, etc.
The FAQs forum is full of good advice, also.

I didn't know anything about proper eating either. A good start is going into the fitness resources tab at the top of the screen and then reading all of the info in there under nutrition. After that I went into diet and nutirition forum and just started reading. I read even the ones that didn't look like they applied. you'll learn alot that way.

I did not realize that you accomplished what you did in nine months, asimmer, that is truly unbelievable. I can see why at times you seem a bit frustrated at some of us that are dragging our feet and pissing and moaning, you must of made some intensive changes to have accomplished what you did in such a short time and I would bet they were tough ones.
Just knowing that you were able to attain such a feat gives me a renewed sense of hope, I mean I have been conciously improving but at a snails pace due to what I know is still that nagging voice in my head saying "you will never do it, you will fail, this is impossible", I fight it daily, but I can honestly say I haven't put up the good fight and it has to begin now. No one can give you the motivation, only we can take responsiblity for our choices, but the more I learn and read from you and others here on FT like you, the stronger the voice says, "YOU CAN DO IT". I just need to re-evaluate and set some fierce goals and quit lollygagging around as I am just being lazy of mind and body and failing myself when I think any other way.
