hi there,

I was just wondering can I possibly train to gain mass and size without spending millions of Euros each month on supplements.
And is anyone knows a good recipe for post workouts shake ?

Warmest regards

one of my favorite immediate post-workout meals was fat free yogurt and fat free cottage cheese mixed together. depending on what brands you get, when you work on the blend, you can come up with a real nice 2:1 carb to protein ratio, and most of the protein is whey.

All you need to gain mass is plenty of food. Figure out your calorie maintenence level and eat way more than that.
As far as the post workout shake, I optimize. I take 40g of whey, 80g of maltodextrin and 10g of glutamine all in water. The whey protein is fast digesting and the maltodextrin is very high glycemic triggering the anabolic insulin spike and replacing much needed energy to slow down catabolism. The glutamine is just a bonus. I mix it only in water so as not to dilute the speed burn of the carbs or slow the digestion of the protein.

After my workout I have cottage cheese mixed with tomatoes and onions for a different taste.
Or I'll have chicken breasts.
I use supps when I don't have the time to prepare or my wife
doesn't think of my protien needs!
