One of my friends is a bodybuilder as well as me. He has the perfect body. 9% bf, six pack, huge arms, etc. When we go out to eat, I struggle to find something on the menu that I can have since every calorie is accounted for in my diet. He, on the other hand, always orders cheeseburgers and fries and a dessert. He says the calories help and will make him bigger and really does never seem to hurt him. It is to the point that it makes me so mad I don't want to eat around him anymore!! Help! Am I being too strict? How should I handle the situation and get over this....

Well to add insult to injury I had a 1-lb hamburgur yesterday, no fries though!
He probably does not do this all the time and is just driving you crazy with a cheat meal.
On the other hand with a low bf% and high lean mass, hist metabolism is probably like an incinerator.
Just get over it and worry about your self, and keep training hard.

what does it matter what he eats....you have self control....do what you need to do....how regularly do you eat out? Whenever I go out with my friends I use that as an opportunity to have my occassional cheat meal which is probably like once every two weeks or less....when they all eat fast food so do I....My bet your friend is using you hanging out together as an opportunity to have a good time and indulge himself in that occassional cheat meal....
I drive my friends crazy doing the same thing....there was a weekend when i ate 2 full half gallon ice cream containers....one per day....yet I still have 7% bf....why? because I do it very very very rarely....it's not a habit....when it becomes a habit that's when it becomes a problem....
Bottom line is either use that occassion for a cheat meal, suck it up and control yourself, or simply don't eat around your friend....the choices are up to you...

Every calorie can be counted but they do not count for the same thing. Some are fats, carbs and proteins and some are high GI and some aren't. Take a look at your calories and what they consist of. People sometimes count the calories but if they are calories that are going to hurt you then reevaluate.

When you get yourself down to say competition bodyfats, it really is easy to eat those things, and not have it show. I don't know if you see him exercise, but I know I can stay like that if I want with keeping up the proper training, eating a good diet, and eating like crap "occasionally". He probably does not eat like that all the time I would guess. Noone really can.
