Can too much protein be detrimental to the liver? (For example, if one weighs 165 lbs, and for a week decided to consume 200 grams a day.)

I would not say protein would be detrimental to the liver. Now maybe if there was a pre existing renal problem your kidneys might not be happy.

I had a nutritionist tell me I was eating too much protein, since I weigh 205 and I was eating 200-400 grams a day, and she said I should only be eating around 150 a day.
