I would like to thank all the contributors to the board! I have made great strength gains, and learned alot about fitness and nutrition in the last 7 months!

I am about to start a cutting cycle, and considering carb cycling. I have been reading up Justin and BB's posts regarding this, and I think I have figured out a good plan. Let me know if this sounds legit!

This is my base cutting diet
BASE CUTTING DIET (going towards 165-7 pounds)
2495 cal per day
40% protein: 250 gram protein = 1000 cal (1.38g per pound @ 180)
40% carbs: 250 gram carbs = 1000 cal
20% fat: 55 grams fat = 495 cal
40/40/20

Here is what I am about to switch to:
CUTTING DIET W/ CARB CYCLING (2495 cal per day)

day1 p=417.5g(1670)/c=82.5g(330)/f=55g(495cal) 67%/13%/20%
day2 p=417.5g(1670)/c=82.5g(330)/f=55g(495cal) 67%/13%/20%
day3 p=160g(680)/c=330g(1320)/f=55g(495cal) 27%/53%/20%
day4 p=250g(1000)/c=250(1000)/f=55g(495cal) 40%/40%/20%
day5 repeat

Did I calculate this correctly? I basically used BB's ratios of carbs per pound of body weight, and readjusted the protein to equal the daily caloric intake.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Looks pretty good except I would bring you carbs up a little to about 90g on days 1 and 2 then on day 3 you bring it up 50g to 380g and drop your fat and raise your protein to 190g.. Other than that it looks really good. what are going to be your sources of carbs?

Voila!

day1 p=410g(1640)/c=90g(360)/f=55g(495cal) 66/14/20
day2 p=410g(1640)/c=90g(360)/f=55g(495cal) 66/14/20
day3 p=190g(800)/c=380g(1520)/f=19g(171cal) 32/61/7
day4 p=250g(1000)/c=250(1000)/f=55g(495cal) 40/40/20
day5 repeat!

As for the type of carbs, im eating clean and staying away from processed carbs. It probably comes out to about a 40/60 split: 30 fibrous and 70 complex.

Looks good pulseeric, keep us updated on how things are going once you begin carb cycling. I've had fantastic results from it I've lost almost 2% of body fat of course I was dropping from about 18% so it was easier to drop but still it seems to be working better than my standard cutting diet. I'm trying to get some up dated pictures up that i took yesterday. This will test your commitment a bit as it can be a tough diet but effective one as well the results will be worth it trust me. Good Luck:dumbbell:
