I have discomfort on the side of my shoulder, its not really a pain, its more of a burn when i lift. there is slight pain and like i can feel it kind of pop a little when i move it around. I have always felt discomfort in this shoulder ever since i started working out. but now i actuall feel a little pain in it. Should i continue my normal routine and work through it? or should i start lifting light or what?

Definately lighten up, but furthermore, I would have looked at by a proffessional.

I don't have insurance, plus i don't think it is serious enough to get checked out. Does anyone else get these pains in their shoulders, probably from putting extra strain on them doing certain exercises?

Never in the shoulder itself, but in the muscle...yes. No pops ever. Really doesn't sound right.

zack - if you don't keep a fairly good log of what exercises you're doing, you need to start so you can identify the moves that are causing you discomfort. Occasionally it's just a matter of making sure you're fully hydrated and loosened up before you start your work sets. If you're lucky, you can possibly narrow it down to one or two moves that bother you and just eliminate them. In either case, you want to take care and not make it worse.
