I'm 49, 6'3, 230ls, I have been working out consisently since HS. Currently I do cardio everyday and weights every other day (4 to 5 sets, 9 exercises, full body 12, 10, 8, 6 12 reps). Mostly to remain strong and avoid injury for other sports. Current goal is to lose about 20lbs and maintain size. Most of weight is in gut although I am fairly big everywhere. I have switched to 6 meals/day because of this site and my energy level is much higher. Question is should I split body parts on my routine to get more rest for individual muscle groups. As I sometimes feel tired when lifting. Reducing cardio is not an option for me as it is a long time habit and makes me feel good. I have also changed to more HIIT cardio because of post on this site. Thanks for the help.

Definitely yes! Split your routine. Everything you say leads to that conclusion. If you work maybe just 2 bodyparts per workout, you can first concentrate more effort on those muscle groups, and two, acquire more rest. Both are essential to growth. You may also look towards your diet, you may have some diet deficiencies, could make you feel tired, but this is just supposition. Concrete from your post is overtraining. Definitely split up your routine.
