After going through 8 or 10 possible log-in names that were already taken, I finally got stuck with geeksgirl. As I've been reading, I've noticed 'geek' in a few other names as well. I don't know any of 'em! Just wanted to clear that up. ;)

Me? I'm middle aged. I work too many hours & have too much to do at home. Hoping to gain enough extra energy to do it all.

I want to lose some weight and gain some definition. I started a weight routine this week. I read that the first week, you should use little or no weight. I'm trying to be good, but this was something of a joke to me. I carry a 25lb toddler around all the time.

At work, I pick up 35 lb dogs and sometimes lug 40lb sacks of dog food out to people's cars. Then, there was the one time a guy brought his 110lb rottweiler to the office. The dog was incapacitaded. I'm just a receptionist, but all the "muscle" at the place was up in the attic looking for leaks. So I had to help the client carry the dog inside. THAT WAS HEAVY! omg... I felt like someone had heaped a pile of bricks on top of me after I put the dog down.:dumbbell:

And that's how my days go. Obviously, I'm not going to be working out for 3 hours a day. I'm still trying to get through one day at a time. (and my dear husband is an IT professional)

Welcome to Ft - pick a program and get started.

Use a weight that fatigues you by the end of the set.

The problem with big, heavy dogs is that hey are dead weight, and they wiggle!

Working out 3 hours a day would be pointless - you will find the programs here much more reasonable than that.
