Hey so today is my third day on taking Creatine, Im 15, 6' tall, and I weight 135. On monday I started and I took 3 servings of 5grams tht day, yesterday I took 2 servings of 5 grams and on the third serving I took 7 grams, because Im suppose to be taking 18.4 grams a day from a site I found out with a calculator. Is that alright taking 7 grams in one serving? Or should I have it still 3 servings of 5 grams and on the 4th serving take 2 grams? Please help any other advice would be great thanks,

What kind of creatine are you taking? I would suggest taking 20 grams(4 rounded teaspoons) of creatine a day for loading for your first week, and taking 10 grams(2 teaspoons) a day after your loading phase is done. Don't abuse it and drink at least a gallon of water or more a day.

Yeah, Im drinking about 130 oz of water. The brand of the creatine I got is Body Fortress High Performance Creatine, I only weight 135 and Im 15 isnt 18 grams enough, I dunno if my kidneys will be able to take 20grams. Well today was the third day, I have 2 more days to go, right? When I get to the maintenance phase i'll be taken 5 grams, even though the calculator equal to 1.8 grams per day. Also how long should I be on this for 4 weeks? Then 3 weeks off? Then I have to start back up starting with the loading phase or the maintenace phase? Please help me out still with my first question.

Taking 20 grams for a week for loading should be safe for you, I don't think its going to harm you if your diet is right and your drinking plenty of water, and 10 grams for maintenance, your 15, 135, your body should be producing enough of its own creatine which is usually about 2.5-5 grams. 6 week cycle, 4 week off, if you use it right you should get 6 weeks out of it, and being a new user taking it longer may not hurt b/c your body isn't used to the extra creatine yet.

My doctor said I really shouldn't take it for 6 weeks, at my age because later on my creatine might not be producing enough creatine on its own. He doesnt know the best but he said I should take it more than 3 months, and he says taking it 4 weeks on 2 weeks off sounds reasonable, what do you guys think? I'm doing this for baseball and I really want to get my arm stronger and when I mean stronger I mean BUFF (RIPPED)lol. So please tell me what you guys suggest?

my advice lay of the creatine for a while, you don't need it
sort your diet and exercise out first, supplement with protein, allthough you should be getting most of the protein from real food. add creatine at a later stage, when / if you hit a plateau For time being you will see good result without. just my 2p |

Well I have kinda hit a plateau thats why my doctor is letting me take it, I cant gain any weight. I keep working out without gaining any muscle because I am too skinny, you can practically see my ribs, not a good sign. Heres a pic of me: http://gazler.com/users/mako3//me.jpg Today is my last day in the loading phase, the maintenace is the easy part so how long shood I take it for, I am starting to think 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, what do you guys think?

From your pic bud, you haven't even came close to hittin a plateau, lay off creatine, eat about 6 meals a day, maybe try some weight gain, lift heavy weight low reps, if you can't take advice then your not gonna gain.

thanks yeah im open to all advice, but I tried weight gain already the desperate way. I ate super sized big mac meals from Mcdonalds for 5 days in a row, and I actually lost 2 pounds. My metabolism is really really high I tried eating more salt to slow it down and since I just finished the swimming season, I have been eating about 6 meals aday if not more, I am open to all adivce so if you can recommend what foods I should eat that would be great. Yet I dont even really get full so I mostly just keep eating because I seriously almost never get full not even pasta. I have gained so far 2 lbs with creatine Im so happy, I think I might just finish the container of creatine than stop, I wont be taking it more than 3 months, I just want to know the cycle and so far the best one I found is on 4 weeks off 2 weeks, but does that include the loading phase, and do I have to start the loading phase again when I back up after the 2 weeks?
Thanks, Mako3 |

about 40 grams a day of protein, as for my creatine intake now since im on my maintenace phase im talking half a scoop of creatine, which a full scoop is 5.25 grams or 4 teaspoonsful which when I put 4 teaspoons into the scoop it only comes up alittle less than half.

For one, u need to take at least 1g of protein per pound of body weight on workout days. Supplements are there to help. Second, to take in extra calories and carbs for weight gain you have to eat healthy, not with McDonalds. If you keep taking in McDonalds, all you will do is gain fat, not muscle. Finally, those 2lbs you gained from creatine is water weight. Creatine actually fills your muscles with water. During my loading phases I gain close to 10 pounds. During your off weeks from creatine, you will notice yourself losing weight. This is because now the water is leaving your muscles.

No, that was like 2 months ago, I was giving an example of how fast my metabolism is. Yeah Im eating really heatlh, have atleast a salad aday, total protein ceral w/grape nuts, oatmeal, chicken, babanas, oranges, apples, and grapes. Thats mostly so far what Ive been eating over and over, I'm having like 3 bowls of oatmeal aday. Well the email I got w/ a calculator on what dose perday on my maintenace said 1.8 grams, but im confused on how to tell how many grams Im taking. Im going to just take 5 grams like how it suggest on the container, but how do I know how many grams im taking. Like I said above, 4 teaspoonsful well rounded only comes up below half in the scoop and it says one scoop equals 5.25 grams. Can anyone help me please?

right, I am just gonna answer your Q
after loading phase around 5g after your workout should be fine use a scale if you are not sure about the scoop size, |
