Thats a pretty small amount of food. It says in your profile you want to gain and you will never accomplish that on such a meager daily intake.

Food choices are pretty good, ditch the butter and make it peanut butter. Add a healthy snack/meal at 10:00am and another at 3:00pm. You don't want to go over 4 hours without eating, it kills your metabolism.

See the Healthy Eating Grocery List Sticky at the top of this forum for some great food ideas!

This list has great food choices.

Honestly you can't go wrong with a cup of cottage cheese and some nuts for one meal and maybe some sort of fish for the other.

Your post work-out meal should not be a dairy based protien as it will digest to slowly. Why not buy some Whey and make a shake?

Just some ideas.

I live in UK so i got this protein shake from boots.. its called CASILAN 90 and the nutrition per serving (16g) is like:

Protein 14.2
carb trace (per 100g it is 0.3)
of which sugar trace (per 100g it is 0.3)
FAT 0.2
of which saturates 0.1
Fibre trace (per 100g also trace)
Sodium trace (per 100g 0.03)
Calcium 220 (per 100g 1400)

is this a good drink to go along with weight training?...
thankx for the help in advance :D

Its better, but you could use more protien. The 2 till 6 without food is too long without food so you may want to throw in a high protien snack to fill the gap.

What are your stats? Its difficult to tell how much food you need with out your age, weight, height. I personally would be eating much more for gaining, but I am a serious hard gainer and require a lot of food to grow.

I am not sure what ispaghol is. Is it a protien suppliment?

i'm 28 5'11" 182.6lb... and went to the doctor to get my BF checked and he said i'm perfectly fit for my height and he asked me to go to gym for such kind of "high tech mumbo jumbo" went to gym and they hadn't got any equipment to check BF.. so i can just let u get an idea by telling that i've got a little bit of fat distributed on my body.. so basically i dont' have a lot of fat on belly :D.. u can call me smart type.. (if that helps) hahahaha..

ispaghol is a high fiber drink which i drink as suggested by my doctor due to constipation problems i had in past.. am basically completing the course of one month and still've got about 8 days to go

Could be a shake, but solid food is usually better. I try to save my shakes for after my work outs (no dairy) and before bed (with milk for the casien protein)

You also want to have protien before you go to bed. Remember, your body rebuilds all its muscle while sleeping. Again I would suggest a dairy based protien for slow digestion while sleeping.

I forgot to add: You are my height, but about 10 lbs up on me. I would definitly be eating more if your shooting for muscle gains.

And on the constipation from experience: I had it really bad for the longest time and you know what cleared me up? Eating more peanut butter and peanuts. They are really high in fibre and omega fats, which really helps the bowels get moving.

Umm... you don't even eat as much as me!!

I'm a 5'4 124lb female! You need to eat more, you need to throw another meal in there.

No, I don't eat that many meals. I eat about 4 or 5. But the amount of food is not enough!! You'll just waste away. Even I lost weight, at my height and size, by eating that amount of food. I think you have the wrong idea - spacing meals to speed metabolism doesn't do much if you are depriving your body of its needed calories

oh so what u mean is that i have to increase my intake of calories a bit more.. thats fine.. i've done it already.. now my intake is like 3100 calories per day.. and that is around 100 more then i was suggested to take.. so i think i'm on track now
