I have recently read that whatever time you spend on a set that your rest period should be about the same. Sounds reasonable to me. A 1:1 work to rest ratio is what they are saying is the best for bodybuilders and non powerlifter types. Any comments?

Well, my first thought is in THEORY, it sounds good. But in the real world, I don't know that it is sound. What if you are training for size and power? If so, say you are doing benches, and say 5 sets of 5. You are doing heavy a weight as possible. Your set probably takes 20-30 seconds tops. Will ATP stores be refilled by 20-30 seconds to properly overload the muscle again? I don't think so. I think your power and size training will start to become endurance training. Just an initial thought.
