I had blood work done awhile ago. Around the time of this i was consuming about 200 grams of protein a day. I only weigh about 167 lbs. I get the results for the bloodwork, and i cant remember if my doctor said my protein intake was too high, or that actually my liver could be in trouble. Actually i think she just said, "youre getting too much protein". Ive heard too much protein can be bad for the liver and the kidneys, and ive also heard that this is a misconception as well. So i went down to 170 grams a day. As of recently, ive been noticing small "poke" sensations in my liver, but i dont know, i think it might be in my head. I have a dream, and in this dream, i become a bodybuilder. I love lifting and posing, i love my body. I want to get bigger too. If my liver is in danger, then the doctor will say, "okay, you better not consume as much protein", but withouht enough protein, i cant be a bodybuilder. To be honest with you, id rather die than not be a bodybuilder.:dumbbell: I feel i have alot of potential.---- Is a high protein diet detrimental to the liver and kidneys, or is that all just a myth?

The poking sensation is NOT from your liver as it doesn't contain nerves. The sensation can be in the nerves or muscle in the area. I've nevr heard of a death caused from too much liver, but if you are really concerned, drink your daikly amount of required water. This cleans out alot of toxins as we all know.

Hey carivan guess what?- At the time when the bloodwork was done, i was getting less than two glasses of water a day. Maybe less than one. Funny you say that. But know i make sure to drink about 3 glasses a day. Youll hear the recommendation being 8 glasses, but that just sounds like too much.

An average adult body is 50 to 65 percent water -- that's roughly 45 quarts. Men are more watery than women. A man's body is 60 to 65 percent water, compared to 50 to 60 percent for a woman.
You lose water doing all kinds of things like breathing, exercising etc. Taking caffeine (coffee, fat burner, etc) increases the need since they're are diuretics, which causes urination and water loss.

I dirnk a gallon to a gallon and a half to almost 2 gallons a day. 3 glasses is at the very least 24 oz. You need to get at least a gallon.

Yeah, water is pretty much not a problem as long as you keep your electorlytes balanced.
If you fear any kind of liver problems, you may invest in some Milk Thistle. Very cheap herb, and reknowned for its protective enzymes produced for liver function.
