This is a routine that i want to start next monday. I have the exercises and all i need to know is how to spread the exercises around. So far i heard that this is the best way for me to split it.

1.Monday-bi's,tri's,chest and shoulders

2.Tuesday-lower and upper abs, back

3.Wednesday-legs and 45 min cardio

1.Thursday-bi's,tri's,chest, and shoulders

2.Friday-lower and upper abs, back

4.Saturday-rest

4.Sunday-rest

In addition to the exercises(i use dumbells because thats all i got and i cant go to the gym until the summer) i will do 15 min warm-up on a bike and stretch. My goals are to lose weight until the summer and then start building muscle in the summer at the gym. I also want to add that my lower body is well developed because i was an avid soccer player but now i mostly bike. My exercises are as follows:

1.Biceps=Curls,Reverse Curls
Triceps=Behind Back Dips, Lying Tricep Extensions
Chest=Push-ups
Shoulders=Lateral Raises

2.Back=One Arm Dumbbell Rows
Lower Back=Leg Raises Lying On Stomach
Upper Abs=Leg Raises Lying On Back
Upper Abs=Crunches

3.45 min Bike
Squats
Calf Raises

PS- When you workout only upper or lower abs does the whole muscle grow or just the targeted section?

Thanks:big_smile:

Whew, got that out of my system...

Thanks for your help in advance

I would do just 1 workout per body part per week...this will likely lead to overtraining....

when you work abs ...you work the whole muscle.......

do deadlifts....do pull ups for back....

buy a used barbell/weights....it will go u a long way

i agree with menace.. if you're looking to lose weight, keep reps high (10-15 range) and short rests between sets.. watch your caloric intake too..

Okay. I decided to to upper body on monday, core & back on wednesday, legs and cardio on friday. Would I be ablo to make good progress in losing weight this way?

I have a set of dumbbells ad im going to buy a few heavier ones once i need them.

instead of buying more dumbells I really suggest you buy a barbell with weights.....you can search online for some used ones....amd buy adjustable DBs with capacity of 100+
