whats a good amount of sets? Also how many reps should i do to be proper in my bench press?

beginner/minimal experience - 1 to 3 sets, 12 to 15 reps
intermediate/regualr exerciser - 1 to 4 sets, 8 to 12 reps
advanced serious lifter - 1 to 6 sets, 1 to 8 reps

bropie wear did you get thoose figures from. There is no real set amount of reps or sets. The real factor is what are your goals, bodybuilding or power lifting or general health.

these are from my personal trainer certification manual.. they just correlate with beginner exercisers primarily developing muscular endurance, and leading into more advanced techniques that incorporate size and strength gains as well once technique and form are down pat
