I typically eat an egg white omelette every morning, but sometimes I just don't feel like cooking it, so I was wondering if I could replace it with Egg Beaters straight or an egg white protein shake. So my questions are:
1- Is it safe to drink Egg Beaters straight?
2- If I were to make a shake with egg white powder, oats, natural peanut butter and soy milk, would that be a sufficient replacement for the omelette and would it be considered a good breakfast, both nutritionally and practically for a cutter's diet?
3- Seeing that I'm on this cutting phase, would that egg white shake followed by a fruit shake of 1 cup OJ mixed with frozen berries be too many carbs for a cutter's diet?

1. You can drink the egg whites that come from a carton. I think as long as they're not from a cracked egg you can drink them raw.
2. Remeber a liquid meal will digest much quick than a solid meal. As for it being ok while your on a cut, as long as you fit it into your daily amount of p/c/f your ok.
3. That seems like alot of surgar, even though it's early in the day I just think thats too much, some fruit would be ok but a glass of oj on top of frozen berries sounds like a lot. I wouldn't be concerned with the carbs as much as i would with the surgar. Remeber as long as you can fit the carbs into your daily amoutn your ok, the morning is a good time to load up on carbs. gl

What if I drop the juice and just blend the berries? Ive read that berries are OK for a cutting diet.

Yeah I would drop the oj, do a search for "Fruit Consumption" I posted an article by Lyle Mcdonald who is a genious about nutrition, there's some good info on fruit and it's effects on weight loss.

I would still say that it's a lot of sugar.

The source of the sugar comes from soy milk, berries and oats. I've replaced the OJ with green tea. However, if it's still too much sugar, then what is allowed and what should I drop?
