Hello,
I have been lifting weights 3x per wk for 2 months on my own. Joined this site in '03 and never utilized it. Have not seen any increase in weight lifted on my own so decided to get back on here and use what is freely available to me.
I am 5'3" and weigh 113 lbs. I have 19% body fat which seems to be all in my belly.
My diet needs some serious work, I just added my meals for today and they aren't anywhere near the FT recommendations.
I have been checking out the site and boards for several days and am really ready to get going.
Today is the start of my first week of weightlifting using FT. After talking with a friend this weekend I realized I am not getting enough protein and probably doing to much cardio. Also I think I was a little afraid to raise my weights.
Thanks for a great site.

Leslie,
welcome to FT. Keep using the site and the people, it's a great tool to use for improvement. Increasing your protein is the best way to see gains in lean muscle, get gains in the gym, lose body fat. Though 19% sounds really good for your height/weight... Good luck with your workout.
