I am trying to get this unwanted flap off of my stomach so I can once again see my abs. I run about 4 times a week for 30 minutes and do heavy lifting 4 times a week also. I do abs, but for some reason I cant break through this barrier. My diet is pretty clean with an occsional night of drinking but thats it. What should I do in order to get the results that I want?

-Thank you-

oh i forgot to say... the flab at ur stomach has nothing to do with ur exercise.. but it has EVERYTHING to do with ur diet.. to see the six pack.. you have to change ur diet.. for that.. give a search in fit buddy at the bottom of the page... and u 'll get a lot of threads for this..

Lower carb and increase lean protein intake and maybe try changing cardio workouts from just running to using nordic skiier for instance which will get your heart rate higher and also get your body out of its comfort zone, also try the bike just to keep mixing it up.
Your body uses 4 times as much calories to process protein than it does to process carbs, it also has a harder and less efficient time trying to turn protein into energy, therefore hopefully forcing it to use fat(and muscle) for energy.

One other thing, the occasional night of alcohol could also be causing problems, not only does a lot of alcohol make you fat, but it also makes it harder for your body to get rid of fat, alcohol actually inhibits your body ability to burn fat or it causes your body to store more fat, can't remember exactly but either way it is'nt good whilst on a weight reduction program or whilst trying to lose the last couple of kilos which are the hardest to lose even with the best diet possible.
