Gain muscle mass and tone abs

I have been trying to find a successful workout to gainmuscle mass and at the same time tone your abs. Is this the right approach or would it be more effective to try and get all my gains and then reduce calories and start doing lots of cardio and then really concentrate on the abs? What do you guys think?? Thankyou. :dumbbell:

this is the wrong thread to post this....powerlifting is more concerned with pure strength/power gains without much concern for look of the body...

Try powerlifting workout doing heavy squats, deadlifts, incline bench press, rows, pull ups, dips, close grip bench press, curls....etc...while consuming high protein diet with high healthy fat intake and low to moderate complex carb intake....to lose weight you'll have to cut calories(although for powerlifting this may prove counterproductive)....but as a beginner you may still get good gains even when cutting calories.....
