Hello all. I've used F/T before but was never concerned enough with putting on weight to post. My problem is I can't seem to get enough protein. I'm 6'2" and weigh 190. How the hell can I get 190g of protein a day? Right now this is what I wat

Breakfast - All Bran and coffee
Right before work - Whey shake (34g protein)
First break - Turkey Sandwich (16 g)
Lunch - Salad w/tuna (65g protein)
Second Break - Cottage cheese w/fruit (28g)
Dinner - varies usally ~25-30g protein

What can I do to get more protein? I've read 1g per lb is bare minimum and I'm not quite there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

welcome back mthornton42 to FT... through a protein shake right b4 going to bed.. that'll be like 34 more grams of protein (as per ur calculations).... you are taking 168g of protein already.. add another shake at bed time and ur up to ur total requirements.. the best thing would be to switch ur cottage cheese with shake at the night... cuz cottage cheese contains slow digesting protein.. so ur body will get the protein even when u r sleeping...
hope this help..

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered some of the Optimum Nutrition Whey so I should be able to get closer to my goal.
