Suzi,

Welcome to FT. I would like to help, I also plan to take colege classes in this area, and plan to get certified as a Fitness Trainer. Maybe there's some advice you could give in that area.
Let me know, I'll be glad to help! You can also search for people in your area that are on FT as well, and could also be looking for partners in training. You might be able to link up w/ them in person for better assistance than email.
Email me and tell me what you think. Good luck.

Also, I always forget this....Add your personal fitness goals and profile in your personal showcase. It gives everybody a chance to know what you're about and what specific goals you have to better enhance their answers to your questions.

Hey Thats awesome,
I can help out with whatever you need, I am in my 5th year at the University here! I updated my profile like you said and even added a picture. I am having food challenges right now! My fitness is great, I just am a student and am finding it hard to find food that are high in protien but low in fat...any ideas?

suzi,
You don't have to have the Pro FT upgrade. My pic just posted after a couple weeks. Good to see you updated your profile. Now, you can go back every once in a while and add goals/ update w/ your progress, etc.
I know living healthy might cost a little more, but don't you think your health is worth it? You'll find things that are not needed to cut out of your lifestyle and diet. If you're not a vegetarian, I would suggest to eat lots of fish (especially tuna and salmon-they're cheap!) and other fresh water fish. High in protein and omega-3, very low saturated fat. Nuts and legumes are also good protein, and so is beef jerky. All of these you can snack on all day, and it never hurts to purchase a 5lb tub of protein(usually around $30.00US) to supplement at the beginning and end of your day. Use FIT Buddy at the bottom of the page and search for the Body Builder's grocery list, and other meals. This site is a great tool for those just starting out (or those like me coming back) to getting healthy. Let me know if this helps!
Josh

Thanks so much!
It does help, what else helps is that I am going home for the summer to work-you need money to eat healthy. I am looking into getting some protien, but when I get back home I will look more. I don't think I could be a vegitarian-but I do love tuna! What nuts are the best though? Are some a lot better than others?
Thanks so much for all your help!

Walnuts and almond are a really good choice (unsalted, raw), and so are cashews.

Good luck obtaining your goals.
