Almost two months into my program and I am strongly considering adding Creatine to my regimen. The only other supplement I use is Whey Protein as a PWO shake.
My question is does Creatine cause puffiness due to water retention or will definition stay the same (if I ever get any definition LOL!). At this point in time my goal is to be well defined with good muscle mass. Will this product aid or hinder my quest?
If I do end up incorporating it into my diet when would be the optimum time to take it? I will not be loading so need to know the ideal time to take the one serving a day.
As always, thanks in advance!

With creatine your definition will stay the same if not improve. Creatine helps put on mass while it reduces some fat. So for guys like you and I who want definition and to put on muscle mass at the same time it seems like the perfect product. But you have to remember while your on it to drink lots of water and still eat the right foods. Lots of protein, good complex carbs and a low fat intake.

Thanks for the reply RM84!
Any suggestion on when to take it since I will not be loading and only having one dose a day?
Do you use Creatine? Have you noticed any results?
Thanks again

I take it. And yes ive noticed results. Ive gained a few pounds which is exactly what i was looking for and its not all around my waist. And ive also definately increased my strength. As for when to take it... Well theres 2 options. Some say take your dose after your workout and others say if you take half before and half after it works more effectively. I tend to take about 1/2 a scoop before and 1 1/2 after (2 scoops=1 serving.

Good news for me!
I just got back from the Dr. and he said Creatine would be fine despite the prescription medications. I took the container in to show him what type I had purchased and to ingest some while in a clinical setting (I have severe allergic reactions to MANY things). Not only did he endorse the Creatine he took a serving with me since he doesn't like his brand LOL!
My container suggests 3 grams a day for a maintenance schedule. Since I won't be loading when should I take this one dose (on an empty stomach, after a meal, right before workout, after workout, etc.)? Does it HAVE to be taken with juice or is water fine?
On a side note he was very pleased with my weight loss and general muscle tone. He did suggest upping my caloric intake by at least another 300 calories (from 2300-2500 to at least 2800).
Many thanks again to all who have helped me get this far!!!

Good info here guys. I have been just using protein shakes, and wasn't aware that Creatine could be used to lose fat and gain muscle more rapidly (along with a good diet obviously). Gonna have to go pick some up today.

Do you use this on off days or only on days you work out? Also which brand is good (flavor and content)?
