question about exercises

ok, first off, like i said before, i am new here, so please be patient with my questions, i know these are easy for you, but very hard for me , so thanks in advance, my question is, if i am doing workouts for say my arms , is it ok to switch routines every week , to workout diff. parts of the arm , or do i need to use the same ex. for a period of time.

Your best bet would be to sign up for an exercise program here on FT. It will give you a good rotation of exercises for at least 8 weeks depending on your goals.

Anything you do will be beneficial. that being said, in the beginning I would concentrate on compound exercises that work the entire muscle belly. Your goal is first off to train your body to work out(as silly as that sounds), and to develope the entire muscle.
