Is Fiber One OK for cutting? It has a very high fiber count, but it's also high in carbs. The nutrition label is as follows:

Fat- 1g
Cholesterol- 0mg
sodium-170mg
potassium-120mg
Total carb-47g
Dietary Fiber-14g
Soluble Fiber-3g
Sugars-5g
Other Carbs-28g
Protein-3g

Ingrediants- wheat(whole grain, wheat, bran, flour); corn (bran, meal); modified corn starch, inulin, sugar, whole grain oats, rice flour, barley malt extract, corn syrup, calcium carbonate, honey, salt, rice starch, wheat starch, almond pieces, vitamins...

I'm thinking it might not be bad for maintaining weight, but might have too many sweets in it for cutting. But it has such an easy source of fiber. What do you think?

I think that you are buying the fiber one that is the flaky kind. You should try the other fiber one. The one that looks like little sticks. lol. Seriously though, there is just as much fiber in it, but there are only 10 impact carbohydrates. I eat this stuff every morning. I see that the fiber one cereal that you listed has 5 grams of sugar as opposed to the one that I use which has zero grams of sugar. You should seriously try to find this cereal in the isle. It is in fact such an easy source of fiber. Good luck on your goals.

Ingrediants- sugar, rice flour, barley malt extract, corn syrup, salt, rice starch, wheat starch,

These ingredients are not good sources of calories. They are all forms of sugars except the salt, and get stored as fat if not needed for energy.
Take a look at "kashi" cereal ingredients for a comparison.
